If the old cable is broken, manually unlock the hood from the grille area. ② Disconnect the cable linking the driver's side hood handle to the lock mechanism, remove the retaining clips, and extract the old cable. ③ Install the new cable by snapping the ball joint into the lock mechanism slot and connecting the other end to the driver's compartment handle. ④ Secure the cable with the clip, ensuring smooth routing without kinks. ⑤ Finally, test the hood unlocking function both inside and outside the vehicle to confirm proper locking and spring-release operation.
